This service was one of our dedicated services where we focus in on a key topic and carefully and compassionately consider God’s wisdom on it. Today we were thinking through recent headlines and Parliamentary bill on assisted suicide.
Conversations around the end of life are so senstive and so precious. We also know they can creep up when we’re least prepared to think clearly. We’re taking some time to carefully and compassionately consider different views, and hear God’s, too. As we open the pages of the bible, we get to listen in as God’s perfect word makes sense not just of a world back then, but also of our world today. We believe that the Spirit of God achieves the work of God through the word of God, and so the study and teaching of the Bible is the way God works to transform individual lives and the church family as a whole.
