We’re a church of people from all backgrounds, ages and experiences who have come to see that knowing God is the most amazing thing in life.
The bible tells us that the Father’s love for his world means he sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to win us forgiveness and bring us back to his family again. Because of his death on a cross 2,000 years ago we’re able to live new, transformed lives by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Because God had brought us into his family, we love to spend time with other another. Each Sunday (and at lots of mid-week groups) we gather to hear more of God’s word in the bible, and think about how it’s so practical and helpful today. We also spend time in song and in prayer, encouraging, strengthening and supporting each other.
As part of that we want everyone to know our good God, and we try to reach out to others as we show and share our faith in Jesus Christ. You can check out some of our stories here!
We believe every member has a role to play, however, we also have a dedicated team who lead, run things day-to-day to help “prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the whole body might be built up” (Ephesians 4:11-12).
Our Vicar: Revd Tom Brown
Tom has been the vicar here since the summer of 2021! He moved to South Yorkshire in 2009 and quickly found a home. He spent 6-years working in the world of business before moving to re-train at Oak Hill Theological College and returning to serve as Curate at St Thomas’ Church in Kilnhurst.
Tom loves people, sport, having fun and telling people about Jesus. He’s married to the lovely Claire, they have two little girls, and thinks he’s far funnier than he is!
You can contact him by WhatsApp (07733 461301) landline (01302 882861) or by email at
Our Children and Families Worker: Josey Bryant
Josey joined the team in December 2022 with 4-years’ expereince in a similar role in Sheffield. Before that she spent 15-years as a Senior Teaching Assistant in a Primary School, and then 6-years with the Austism Communications Team. She loves seeing children and young people grow in their faith!
Josey has two grown-up children, two grandchildren, loves lego, photography and her dog, and now spends most of her time ignoring Tom’s jokes.

Our Culture:
We believe that churches work and thrive best when there is a healthy leadership culture and that good care for leaders and good conduct by leaders are essential for that spiritual health. To help make sure we have that here we’ve partnered with the team at Living Leadership and are signed up members of their ‘Leadership Committments’ scheme.
This means we’ve adopted a Code of Best Practice in Care of Christian Leaders, and Code of Best Practice in Conduct of Christian Leaders. As well as those, we also use their resources to improve our leadership practices in areas like annual reviews and recruitment.
